Best Gelato and Ice Cream in Lima

1. Blu – Il Gelato del Barrio

Quite possibly, the best gelato in the entire city is Blu. Located in the heart of Barranco, thisItalian-style homemade ice cream is packed full of flavor. Blu specializes in combining Peruvianingredients, such as lucuma, mango, muña (a Peruvian herb). Our favorite of the 15 flavorshave to be maracumango, a mix of passionfruit and mango, chocolate hazelnut, and muña andlucuma.

2. Crem de la Crem

With a name like this, you know it’s going to be delicious. Also located in the Barranco district, inParque Municipal, the main square. Crem de la Crem has a range of flavors, from carrot cake toPeruvian berries, and “chocomenta,” aka chocolate mint.

3. Amorelado

A small place with a lot of flavors, located in the Miraflores district. Amorelado has thought upexciting combinations such as basil and pineapple and other fruity flavors. Don’t forget to tastethe “dulce de leche” ice cream. It is something to write home about!

4. La Fiorentina

A traditional ice cream place located in the Surquillo district of Lima. The owners have Italianorigins, and the ice cream reflects that. With over 40 flavors of ice cream and popsicles, thedecision will be a hard one. Be brave and try one of the more extreme flavors like aji pepper orPisco Sour.

5. Ice Cookies

Who doesn’t love cookies and ice cream, especially together! Ice Cookies is located in theMiraflores district and also serves coffee. Enjoy a cookie or ice cream or be bold and combinethem to have an ice cream cookie sandwich. Whichever combination you choose, this cute littleshop won’t disappoint.

6. 4D Helado

With multiple locations throughout Lima (Miraflores, San Isidro, Jesús María), this is aconvenient shop to stop in. They specialize in both ice cream and pastries so that you can haveyour cake and ice cream too!
