The Ballestas Island are many isolated islands, where sea-lions, starfish, fur seals, terns, zarcillos and endangered Humboldt penguins live. What is impressive is not just the wide range of animals you can see, but the awe-inspiring quantity of birds: some islands have colonies of up to 600,000 birds _ying in and out any time. If we are lucky we may also see aquatic mammals such as whales and dolphins. During the course of the Ballestas Islands tour you will be able to observe natural rock arches, tunnels and caves that were formed naturally in the course of millions. Returning to mainland we will ride on a bus to enjoy a lunch at El Batan, a delicious traditional restaurant located in Chincha. After lunch we will head back to Lima, approximately 4 hours bus-ride.
