The Coast

The climate along the Peruvian coast is warm, with the most arid regions being in the north. From December to April, average temperature ranges from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius (73 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit), making it an ideal time for traveling to Peru’s coast.

The Andes

The Andes varying elevations make for a diverse climate. However, there is one thing you can count on – the rainy season arrives in December and lasts through April. June through September are typically your best bets for consistently sunny days and comfortable temperatures for visits to places like Choquequirao and Machu Picchu.

Another great window for travel to Cusco is between the months of October and March. Whatever you do, try to avoid visiting Cusco in February.
