Now that we have returned from Peru I wanted to thank your staff at Explorandes  for the wonderful tour you arranged for my wife and I.  Everything from greetings to departure were outstanding.  I wanted to especially note the very personal and outstanding service provided by Alan our guide.  His personal touch and excellent knowledge of the area went way beyond our expectations.  The accommodations were also outstanding and the view from the hotel of the river was very refreshing after a long day at Machu Picchu.  Again thank you and extend our congratulations to all your staff.

Just returned this weekend from an outstanding trek of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Explorandes has the most knowledgeable guide in Narciso, a trail veteran of nearly 40 years. He not only taught my sister and I about trail etiquette, he volunteered historical and area information about the flora, fauna, wildlife, natural medicine, as well as the archeological and culturally relevant sites along the way. We felt safe, well cared (and cooked!) for, all peppered with his enthusiasm and good-natured sense of humor. This trek is not for the faint of heart, but you leave Machu Picchu with a full heart, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of Narciso, and his team of cooks and porters (the most extraordinary of people!)
