Cusco Hiking Experience

| Day 1 CUSCO |
Upon arrival to Cusco airport you will be met by our personnel and transferred to a hotel. The rest of the morning at leisure to acclimatize, lunch on your own. Afternoon tour of the city and nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Tambomachay and visit the main sites in the city – Inca temples and colonial churches. Overnight at hotel, dinner on your own. B |

| Day 2 F/D RIVER RAFTING |
Leaving early we will be taken to our put-in point in Southern Cusco. There are 2 options, for Adventurous rafters you can take the Chuquicahuana rafting with class 3 and 4 rapids; for families you can take the Piñipampa class 2 and 3 fun rapids- a safety and familiarization briefing will be followed by a float on chosen section of the river. Picnic Lunch will be provided, drive towards the Sacred Valley for overnight. Depending on arrival time and energy, optional activities in the sacred valley surroundings can be provided. Dinner on your own. (River: 3 hours. Tours: 3 hours.) B/PL |

| Day 3 F/D BIKE MARAS/MORAY |
Pick up from your hotel in private vehicle for a 40 minute ride to the point of Cruzpata, where we start our bike ride. Passing the lagoon of Huaypo we´ll arrive at the Archaeological Park of Moray, an Inca agricultural laboratory where we´ll enjoy the beauty of nature and archaeology. This part of the tour is very attractive because of its permanent ups and downs. Continuing our trip we arrive at Maras where a tasty picnic will be waiting for us. Afterwards a 1 hour downhill ride lets us feel the peace of the Andean countryside. So enjoy your freedom. After this great lunch, go on riding to the terraces of salt below Maras and then again a downhill of 40 minutes approx. Continue to the Sacred Valley (Pichingoto, Tarabamba), where we end our bike tour and be transferred back to your hotel. B/BL |

| Day 4 CUSCO |
Day at leisure to rest, do some shopping or roam the city on your own. B |

| Day 5 CUSCO / PUMAMARCA / CHOQUECHACA |
We leave Cusco early in the morning for a 3 hour drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas past Ollantaytambo and up a side valley until we reach the ruins of Pumamarca at 3,000 m.a.s.l. After a short visit of this archaeological complex we begin our trek towards the Choquechaca valley, past forests of queñua and other native species. (Trekking: 4 hours). B/L/D |

| Day 6 CHOQUECHACA / HUQUI |
We begin our day trekking up the valley until we reach the Choquechaca pass at 4,300m.a.s.l. after a slow descent in a northeasterly direction we reach the lake of Azulcocha (4,100m) surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery with alpacas and llamas. We continue along towards the Cchacahuachana pass (4,300 m) and down to our camp at Huqui (4,000m.a.s.l). Trekking: 7 hours. B/L/D |

| Day 7 HUQUI / PATACANCHA / HUILLOC / OLLANTAYTAMBO/MACHU PICCHU |
After a morning visit to some family homes in this colorful community, we will begin our trek past community farms with a chance to see locals working the fields with traditional tools such as the chaquitaclla. We will hike past queñua forests and several streams on our way up to the pass at 4,400 m from where we will have spectacular views of the snow capped peaks of Veronica, Salkantay, Huayanay, Tirijuay, Huayruro among others. We begin our descent in a northwesterly direction towards Huilloc (3,400 m.a.s.l). Here we will visit the Textile Center, where traditional weaving techniques are taught, using natural dyes and fibers and conserving native designs of the valley of Patacancha. Lunch in the vicinity. Our transport will pick us up to return to Ollantaytambo and the train station, where we will board afternoon train to machu Picchu Pueblo. Overnight. Dinner on your owns. B/L |

| Day 8 MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO |
Full day visit to Machu Picchu. Lunch included. Afternoon train will take yu back to Cusco, overnight in hotel. Dinner on your own. B/L |

| Day 9 CUSCO/OUT |
Transfer to the Cusco airport to board ongoing flight. B |
