Traveling by bus a full day ride with lunch will bring us to the highland town of Puno situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca.  On the journey we will stop to visit various sites, including the Wari/Inca Raqchi complex. B, L

This day we will visit Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the World. We will be picked up from hotel and take to our embarkation point, from where our boat will take us to Taquile Island, stopping on the way at the Uros floating Islands. Inheritors of an ancient culture, these Lake nomads rely on the lake resources to subsist, just as their ancestors did, while living on their floating islands made out of Totora Reed, a unique way of life.  From here we will head to Taquile Island, and disembark on the local deck to visit the locals known as the Taquileños.  Upon arrival to the Island we will climb the trail and steps up to the main plaza and walk around the village. Then we will visit a lodge managed by a local family where we will have a typical lunch. This tour will introduce you to the real way of life of Andean people. In the early afternoon we hike to the departure deck and return to Puno.  B, L

Morning transfer to Sillustani for a guided  tour before heading to the airport.  This pre-Inca cemetery on the shores of Lake Sillustani Umayo where are located the most massive stone cylinders which are known as chullpas cylindrical necropolis were buried where the great dignitaries of the Tiahuanaco culture. Sillustani has been considered the religious capital of this culture. Sillustani was considered a sacred place for those who populated the plateau for more than three thousand years. Transfer to the airport to board ongoing flight. B
