We mostly work with accommodations that have availability for taking reservations in advance which include communities with home stays to two and three star hotels as well as luxury all-inclusive facilities.
We periodically inspect hotels we use for cleanliness, hygiene and safety to make sure that services are in line with pricing to guarantee customer satisfaction. We only use hotels that have safety guidelines according to pertinent municipal and civil defense regulations.
Usually, depending on the location and arrival time, we check the rooms at the hotels before passengers arrive always selecting the best available, this way guaranteeing comfort (away from noisy streets, busy parts of the hotel, etc).
Lodges
Most lodges are found in the Amazon Basin although there are now a few in the Andes. They differ from normal hotels and urban lodging facilities in that they are located in rural or wilderness areas and provide all inclusive excursions of multi-day duration that usually start and end with pick-up and drop-off at the local airport or nearest city. We work with those lodges we believe offer a quality experience and are located in unique environments, that complement the experiences we provide in the field on our adventures, or where we use them to enhance an itinerary which combines different environments and cultures for an in depth experience.
Restaurants
Peru is renowned for its unique cuisine, special dishes made with Andean ingredients that emanate from our varied fauna and flora, our biodiversity, which is a result of our ecosystem variety. Most restaurants we offer, use and recommend, depending on location and situation, guarantee quality and cleanliness, creativity and uniqueness, location and practicality, combined with service and innovation. Each city and region of Peru has its typical dishes and strong points in ingredients. Some offer fixed menus, others buffet options and still others “a la carte”. These latter ones are the more expensive. Sometimes, specially at lunches, the criteria is all of the above plus celerity in the services, since the meal is in the middle of a day program which has a tight schedule, therefore service needs to be timely.
