Transportation

Air transport
There are airlines that operate nationally as well as various regional and charter companies. When our passengers arrive we automatically ask for their ongoing international connection on their way out of Peru so we can reconfirm their departure flights while they visit Peru.
We can purchase intra- Peru flights or International tickets for your on-going connections for a handling fee of US$25 at a fair price from an airline controller we work with that has good rates.  However we recommend you purchase your own intra-Peru flights via the Internet or your travel agent and let us know your flights information, so we can assist you with arrivals, connections and transfers.

Train transport
In 1995 the state railroad which ran the railways all over Peru was privatized and a company called Peru Rail S.A., owned by Orient Express from the United Kingdom, won the concession to operate the Arequipa – Puno, Puno – Cusco and Cusco – Machu Picchu section of the railroad. Since then the tracks have been refurbished and there are now excellent schedules and alternative services available between Cusco and Machu Picchu.  Recently two new operators, Inca Rail and Andean Railways have been authorized to operate and as result there are more schedules available at varying costs and standards

Buses and vehicles
Ground transportation terminals in the big cities offer secure areas and services to connect to other Peruvian regions. In the last two decades many highways were improved while others were built and resurfaced so now it is possible to travel by land counting with public transportation of international standards. Most routes that have paved highways, such as the Pan-American Highway to Nazca and Arequipa, and the road to Huaraz, have reliable scheduled bus service available. The overnight service is specially designed to include lounge seats comfortable for sleeping with TV and refreshments available. On some of our fixed departures and on longer routes we travel on these buses since they tend to be less expensive and more comfortable than minivans or small vehicles.   On most itineraries we supply the latter vehicles for transfer, tours to destinations and sites to be visited or to drop off points of our adventures.
On group departures we provide 20-40 seat buses for tours and longer journeys. For individual or small groups we provide comfortable minivans and sometimes station wagons for short transfers and tours within a city.

Transfers
During the initial transfer, at point of entry, our passengers will be briefed on their travel itinerary and all vouchers for services during their journey will be handed to them, as well as any airplane tickets. We also provide their travel schedule, travel tips such as current weather, money-exchange rates, and restaurant recommendations, where to do shopping among other important matters that will help our passengers while being in Peru.  Usually we hand them an informative bookclet.
