Otavalo is located two hours north of Quito in Ecuador's Andean highlands. The main attraction is the Indian Market, which you can visit all week, although the main market day is Saturday. Otavaleños proudly welcome guests in their traditional dress, showing off their traditions and precious handicrafts. Look for textiles woven in “telares” or looms, which represent daily activities and the Andean way of life.
