| Day 1 Huaraz / Cashapampa / Llamacorral |

| Early departure from Huaraz heading north deep into the Santa Valley, passing by the town of Carhuaz, Yungay and Caraz, taking a detour towards Cashapampa (9,479 ft), where our mules and muleteers are waiting for us. We start our trek through the Santa Cruz creek at the side of Santa Cruz River, that washes the valley with its vigorous waters. We star a steady acend following the trail that will take us to our first camposite in Llamacorral (12,398 ft).

| Day 2 Llamacorral / Alpamayo Base Camp / Taullipampa |

| Departing from Llamacorral we hike along the Santa Cruz River along a semi-plane area passing by the Ichiccocha Lake (12,464 ft) where we can find different bird species such as Andean ducks among others, continuing along the trail we reach the Jatuncocha Lake (12,628 ft), this lake has a extreme green colour due to the presence of algae. From here we will have great views of the Taulliraju, Quitaraju and Rinrijirca snow- capped peaks. We continue until we reach the detour that takes us to the Arhuay creek, known as the Alpamayo base camp (13,940 ft), then we will return to Taullipampa (13,940 ft) where we will camp.

| Day 3 Taullipampa / Punta Union / Paria |

| We start with a steady ascend, with some Inca Trail in the last section until we reach the Punta Union Pass (15,580 ft), from where an awesome view of the Taulliraju, Areston, Paria, Rinjirca, Quiraraju and Pucajirca snow-capped peaks among others. Then we star to descend until we reach Paria (12,726 ft), our campsite for this night.

| Early start leaving our campsite following the Huaripampa Valley passing by the Huaripampa, Yanachaca “estancias” and the Colcabamba town, then we will start a moderate ascend passing by Chalhua town until we reach our campsite at Molinopampa (11,972 ft).

| Day 5 Molinopampa / Avalancha |

| This day we start ascending through the Keshu creek, passing by a Queñua tree forest until we reach the Contrahierbas Lake, where we will stop for a rest, and if we are lucky we can spot an avalanche at the Contrahierbas snow-capped peak. We continue until we get to our campsite at Avalancha (14,596 ft).

| Day 6 Avalancha / Ulta Valley / Huaraz |

| In our last day we will start ascending up to the Punta Yanayacu pass (15,940 ft), the highest point in this adventure. From have a great view of the Contrahierbas, Ulta, Chopicalqui and the famous Huascaran snow-capped peaks. Then we start to descend through the Ulta creek passing by the Yanayaku Lake until we finally reach the end of our trek. Our transport will be waiting for us to take us back to Huaraz and on to our Hotel for a well deserved rest. Dinner on your own. |
